Welcome to Marrakech, the town where the Arab culture of the cities meets the berber culture of the mountain villages, where the weary sub-saharian traders (carrying gold, salt and slaves) would ply their wares to the merchants who would then bring them to Europe.

After breakfast we’ll start discovering Marrakech.
We'll visit Menara Gardens, Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tumbs, Bahia Palace before heading our way to Essaouira, the most popular winds-surfing destination by the Atlantic Ocean.
Essaouira is still quite, friendly and charming.
Tall white houses, yellow details and blue doors, narrow streets and the ramparts that protect the most of the town.
This evening we’ll stay overnight in Essaouira.

After a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast through "Argane Trees Forests" and "Bananas Plantations", we'll arrive in Taroudant a berber market town located on the fertile Souss Valley, an important spot in the trans Sahara caravan routes.
We'll visit the ramparts of this interesting town, the main "Souk" which is a spot for berber jewellery before checking into our hotel.

We'll drive along the oasis, palmeraies, berber villages and kasbahs through the High Atlas mountains until we reach M'hamid.
The village is located at the edge of Sahara and "52 days by camel to Tombouctou". This evening we'll stay in sedentary tents representing the real local life of the Sahara.

Today we'll experience another impressive day at the Moroccan desert.
In the morning we'll join a 4x4 jeep safari through the magnificent sand dunes.
We may have the opportunity to visit one of the nomad families who live in hand-woven goat hair tents,then we'll continue to Chigaga, a 40 Km long stretch of huge 300 m high saharian dunes, through the arid plains and sands.
In the evening we'll check into our nomad tent camp based at the largest dunes called "Ocean without water" and have dinner under the desert stars.
This is an awesome experience: to watch the desert change colour under the sunset, watching a billion stars in the night sky or the quiet of the desert before the sun comes up...

Early in the morning we'll depart from Chigaga to M'hamid in our 4x4 jeeps and drive through the impressive Sahara.
Then we'll continue to Ouarzazate via the magnificent Draa Valley, home of one of the longest rivers in Morocco.
Faltire palmeraies of Draa are crammed with date palms, olive and almond trees.
The scenery along the river is a highlight for the photographers.
