Rabat
Morocco's capital, Rabat is a curious mix of a distant past and a highly modern present. We begin our visit to the Royal Palace, across from which stands the Mechwar and Ahl Fes Mosque, which is fine example of Islamic architecture.
We continue our sightseeing tour towards the Chellah Necropolis, built in the 14th century by the Merinides, the Hassan Tower, which was intended to be one of the greatest mosques in the muslim world, the Mausoleum of Mohamed 5th, built in 1962 and one of the best examples of traditional Moroccan architecture.
We end our tour at the Kasbah of Oudayas, which has a spectacular view on the Bou Regreg River and the town of Sale where a Mint Tea in the Moorish Café is offered.
